Money can grow quickly inside a Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP). The chart at right looks at an individual who puts $1,500 annually into an RDSP. (You can also contribute on behalf of a disabled person.) If the person has a household income between $42,707 and $85,414, the government will put in $3,500 each year. Assuming 5% growth, the account would grow to a whopping $165,000 after 20 years.
