PLAN’s work on the Registered Disability Savings Plan began when we identified a gap in public policy. Our institutions had yet to respond to the emerging social phenomenon of people with disabilities outliving their parents.
This gap, along with a framework of solutions, was outlined in our policy document: Securing a Good Life for Our Family Members with Disabilities (Fall, 2004)
